The 2019 Best School District Rankings by Niche is out and Forsyth County Schools are #2 on the list!  The rankings are heavily based on academic achievements, however, other factors considered include

  • a teachers grade based on teacher salary, teacher absenteeism, state test results, and survey responses on teachers from students and parents

  • a culture and diversity grade based on racial and economic diversity and survey responses on culture and diversity from students and parents

  • reviews from parents and students on their overall experience in the district

  • a health and safety grade based on chronic student absenteeism, suspensions/expulsions, and survey responses on the school environment from students and parents

  • a resources and facilities grade based on expenses per student, staffing, and survey responses on facilities from students and parents

  • a clubs and activities grade based on expenses per student and survey responses on clubs and activities from students and parents

  • a sports grade based on the number of sports, participation, and survey responses on athletics and athletic facilities from students and parent

The #2 ranking is even more impressive as the Forsyth County School District is the largest school district on the top of the list with 44,286 students.  Buford City Schools came in 1st with 4,330 students and Oconee County Schools came in 3rd with 7,271 students.
