Alpharetta, GA is home to many regional and corporate headquarters and hundreds of IT companies so many residents have an amazing commute!  However, if your place of employment is at the Perimeter or in Buckhead, Midtown or Downtown Atlanta, you have several commuter options available to you.

"I am in a carpool and we jump on GA 400 heading South.  Our commute is about 20 miles."

"I drive to the North Springs MARTA Station off of GA 400 inbetween exit 5, the Abernathy Road exit, and exit 6, the Northridge Road exit.  Then I take MARTA into Downtown Atlanta."

"Sometimes I drive South on Highway 9 if there is a backup on GA 400.  You have to time the lights right and I would not recommend this alternative when school is in session as the side roads are more heavily traveled then."

"I work downtown and I drive to the Park and Ride Lot on Mansell Road where I ride a bus to the North Springs MARTA Station then I take the train into town,"
